Solar Code of Practice (I to IV)
The SSA has developed Solar Codes of Practice which provide a professional framework for carrying out solar installation. Various Codes of Practice have been written in collaboration with leading experts in the Solar Industry, to cover all types of solar thermal installation and solar PV installation. Any solar installation certified to our Code of Practice is guaranteed to attain these high standards of installation. The SSA Codes of Practice set the benchmark for the UK solar industry.
The SSA also has a Code of Practice setting out ethical trading criteria for the solar industry. Solar installers must agree to these terms as part of the industry's Approved Solar Installer Scheme.
